The Kadampa Meditation Center in Massapequa Park will be holding a class this January that teaches students about the art of acceptance.
Those who are looking to gain a positive outlook on their lives can attend The Art of Acceptance course at the Kadampa Meditation Center. Students will learn about handling difficult emotions and how to obtain a peaceful mind. Stephany Taylor will teach the lesson. Prior meditation experience is not required to join the course, and the event is open to anybody. The venue provides chairs and cushions for attendees, though people may bring personal pillows if they prefer.
The Kadampa Meditation Center offers multiple drop-in courses that are open to the community, covering topics such as learning to be happy, solving problems, changing mindsets, and developing inner peace. The organization also hosts in-depth workshops that provide students with hands-on activities, like their mantras workshop led by David Hoffner. Groups that teach courses like this can use Print shops to make ads for locals to raise public interest.
The Art of Acceptance course will be held on January 8 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. The class will cost $10 per person, though members of the Kadampa Meditation Center can attend the event for free. There is no mandatory dress code for the course, though it is recommended that people dress comfortably.
