Hewlett area merchants to welcome trick or treaters
Halloween can be an especially fun holiday for the community's little ones, and the Bellmore Chamber of Commerce will welcome them all during an activity planned for the Hewlett area.
The organization, which supports the community’s businesses and public service groups, has plans in the works for a morning that will give kids a chance to show off their Halloween costumes. While they do, they will be enjoying the company of a lot of other young people from the area, and they may even make a new friend.
The kids will be lined up so they can walk through the Bellmore downtown core, and many of the merchants will be distributing promotional products and other treats to the trick or treaters. The LIRR parking lot on Broadway will be transformed into a huge outdoor trunk or treat, and so that everyone can get lots of fun photo ops, there will be a seasonal backdrop set up in the lot. All of this is on offer free of charge.
Businesses included in the activity will display a ‘Mr. Pumpkin’ sticker in their front window so the families will know they are welcome. Decals, stickers, and other materials featuring custom graphic design can be prepared for an activity by area print shops.
This early start to Halloween fun will be held on October 22. More details about the festivities can be found online.
