Wall Township workshop to prepare pysanky-style eggs
Pysanky Eggs, which are also known as Ukrainian Easter Eggs, have been crafted for centuries, and an activity that will be offered in the Wall Township area will teach how to prepare these fragile works of art.
Those who register for the Pysanky Egg Workshop will be walked through the process of making one of these painted eggs, and afterwards, they will be able to make their own. Jenny Santa Maria will be sharing her skills during the session, and the techniques that will be taught were traditionally passed down from mother to daughter.
Each of the participants will be introduced to the dyes that are used, and both traditional and non-traditional options will be discussed. The tools will be provided, and the group will be working with a variety of eggs. Any skill level is welcome, and it is for those age 18 and up. Each participant will walk away with an egg they crafted themselves.
A crafting class gives the public an opportunity to learn something new, and many people appreciate the chance to do so. A flyer printing company may be tasked with preparing marketing materials for local events, and it can offer lots of options to choose from.
This introduction to the art of crafting pysanky eggs will be on offer on March 17th. It will take place at Calgo Gardens, located at 462 Adelphia Road in Freehold.
