Wall Township to embrace chilly waters

Wall Township will soon be taking the plunge when they attend a fundraiser that will include an icy dip.

Beacon Boulevard Beach in Sea Grit will see bathers brave the cold when they take part in the Patriot Polar Plunge. Now in its fifth year, it will raise funds for veterans in need of home repairs as well as remembrance activities.

The registration fee for the event is $60 per person, and along with raising funds and awareness, it will honor the life of Sgt. Juan Fajardo, who was a law enforcement officer and a member of the National Guard. Everyone who registers by January 31 will receive a special Polar Plunge hoodie. There will also be an “apres plunge” buffet breakfast and warming party, and an even-split draw is in the works. Last year, over 500 members of the public participated, and the organizers are hoping this year will be an even blogger success.

An outside-the-box type of fundraiser may benefit from a customized marketing campaign, and a Print professional can lend a hand. Its in-house graphic design team can provide bespoke Corporate Gifts, which can be highly effective at promoting an event.

The 2026 Patriot Polar Plunge will take to the icy Atlantic on Saturday, February 7. The location for the activity will be 2 Ocean Avenue in Sea Grit.
