Wall Township families get fishing

Wall Township fishers will soon be taking to the waters off Point Pleasant Beach when they participate in an annual event organized with them in mind.

It is almost time for the VFW #4715 Auxiliary Family Flukin’ Frenzy and Picnic to make its return for another year, and there are both picnic-only and fishing-plus-picnic registration options. A Captain's Meeting will take place the evening before, and the activity will kick off as soon as the sun is up for the day.

Those who choose the fishing experience tickets will be able to bring one guest each, and registration fee may be tax deductible. Three cash prizes will be presented for the largest fish, and the final weigh-in is set for 4:30 pm sharp. Stationery printers will be pleased to prepare custom-designed awards certificates for an activity.

The picnic will be family friendly, and the menu includes burgers, hot dogs, salads, corn, shrimp, clams, a pig roast, and an assortment of beverages. A DJ will supply the music to help keep the fun going.

Wall Township families are invited to join the fun of this activity set for Saturday, August 15. It will be set up at 603 St. Louis Street in Point Pleasant Beach, and tickets are $40 for the picnic only and $70 for the entire experience. The Captain’s Meeting is at 7:00 pm on the eve of the event.
