Wall Township venue organizes harvest celebration

Wall Township is heading into another fall, and a local historic venue will be hosting an event that celebrates the season.

The Historic Village at Allaire recreates the life and times of the management and workers at the Howell Iron Works, and it will be welcoming one and all for its Fall Harvest festival. It will offer an opportunity for the public to try their hand at a variety of activities, and the fun will be suitable for all ages.

Guests at the celebration will be able to sample a variety of apple- and pumpkin-based dishes, and they can try their hand at the cider press. Home bakers can put their apple and pumpkin pie recipes to the test in friendly competition, and local craft vendors and other makers will have market stalls set up to browse through. There will be food trucks, a wood carver, historic demonstrations, and activities just for the kids.

As with many events hosted at the Village, the organizers are welcoming vendor applications. Small businesses that make use of pop-up markets to boost their sales can order everything from printed price lists and order Forms to booth decor from local Stationery printers.

The Historic Village at Allaire will welcome harvest time with this special celebration on Saturday, September 20. Its web listing provides more information for attendees and potential vendors.
