This holiday season, a Wall Township historic property will give members of the public a chance to step back in time to the 1800s. Lit by lanterns, these guided tours will bring back the spirit of Christmas past and will offer enjoyment for all five senses.
The registrants for the candlelight tours of the Historic Village at Allaire, which is located in Wall Township, will be led on a guided tour of the site. They will make stops at the chapel, blacksmith shop, bakery, Allaire Residence, and other buildings, and each will be filled with holiday decor in a style that would have been the order of the day back in the 19th Century.
While they stroll through the site, the participants will be welcome to enjoy listening to some of their traditional holiday favorites, and each tour will last for about 90 minutes. Those who plan on attending are reminded to wear shoes that are suitable for walking, and as they will be outdoors, they are advised to dress appropriately. The organizers also explained that the event may not be a good fit for younger children.
The planners of a historically themed event like this can source a variety of decor and other items from their local printing services company. It will be able to custom design a variety of products that fit in well to the overall atmosphere of the occasion, and this can help to bring back the feel of days gone by for the guests.
The starting point for the Allaire Village Christmas Lantern Tour will be in its blacksmith shop. Ticket holders are asked to arrive by no later than 5:00 pm.
