Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the bounty of the harvest season, and a Wall Township venue has a special day of activities planned in honor of the occasion.
As one of the area's living history museums, The Historic Village at Allaire gives the public a chance to learn about the past of their community. To celebrate Thanksgiving, it will be hosting festivities with a 19th Century flavor, and everyone is invited to be a part of the fun.
The activity will be filled with festivities in the style that would have been common when the James P. Allaire's Howell Iron Works Company called the venue home. Many of its buildings will be open for the public to walk through and explore, and the Village Green will be the location for some special seasonal programming. A variety of artisans and crafters will be offering live demonstrations of their skills, and there will be opportunities for visitors to purchase gifts for the upcoming holiday season.
Themed decor can aid in building a historical flavor for an event. This will be available at area poster printing companies along with a full line of Letterheads and other custom Stationery.
The Historic Village at Allaire will be transporting visitors back in time to a 19th Century Thanksgiving on Friday, November 20th. The fun will get started at 11:00 am.
