Wall Township runners and walkers welcome to dash for donuts
Wall Township is a community that loves its donuts, and an event that will combine these popular treats with some fun in the fresh air and sunshine will also raise funds to help give cancer the boot.
Whether they choose to just do the “one miler” or tackle the full 5K, the runners in the 2020 Main Street Donut Chase will all be lending a hand to the fight against cancer. All are encouraged to take part, and strollers, wheelchairs, rollators, and other assistive devices are all welcome.
The staging area for the race will be located at the Wall Municipal Complex, and the day will kick off with some pre-race bagels. Participants will each receive a Tech Race Shirt with the function's logo design, as well as a donut-themed finisher’s medal and lots of donuts at the finish line. Main Street Donuts will supply the catering services, and anyone who would prefer a gluten-free or vegan option has been asked to indicate this when they register.
To help make the celebration even more fun, the runners are encouraged to dress up in a donut-themed costume for the day, and they may even win a prize. The proceeds from the day are slated to be donated to Memorial Sloane Kettering.
