What's Happening in Wall Township, NJ…

Wall Township camp to welcome future astrophysicists

While other kids may be spending the summer loafing around, those who call Wall Township home will be able to enjoy some high-flying fun.

The camp planned by the InfoAge Space Exploration Center will be making discoveries about the universe, as well as the STEM subjects, through hands-on learning, and they will also be making new friends and practising their social skills. It will run for five days, with each being divided into three-hour-long sessions.

The learning will be enhanced by engaging in projects such as model rocketry and playing games, and the week will wrap up with each child learning how to use the TLM18 Space Sentry Radio Dish Antenna to explore universe. Parents will be able to film a video of their child taking pace, and it is anticipated that speakers will address the group, including representatives from Princeton University and NASA.

The registration system for this summer activity is now open. Each camper is asked to supply their own lunch. T-shirts and other gear for a summer camp will be on offer at area printers that craft corporate gifts.

The start date for this week of exploration for Wall Town shops future astrophysicists will be July 25, running from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The venue is located at 2300 Marconi Road, and its website offers additional information.
