Wall Township autism families offered farm experience

Allaire Community Farm offers events that combine fun with learning, and it has an activity on offer for area autism families this summer.

This Wall Township institution has plans in the works for a day of horticultural activity, and it will see autistic kids and their families get their hands dirty while performing planting and other tasks. Registration is free for POAC Autism Services members, and neurotypical siblings are welcome.

The families that take part will be treated to a hay ride as well as a chance to spend some time visiting with some new furry and feathery friends in the farms petting zoo. They will also plant seeds, and when they leave for home, they will each take home a flower or other plant in a pot to take care of.

Not-for-profit organizations that host this sort of event often depend upon the generosity of the public and the local corporate community to help fund their programming. Sponsorships give business an easy way to get involved, and to thank these supporters, their Logo Design can be included in the products prepared to promote the occasion.

POAC Autism Services and Allaire Community Farm will be teaming up to host this celebration on July 25th. It will start at 9:30 am, and more information for sponsors, families and the general public is available on its online listing.
