A diabetes diagnosis may come with many questions and concerns, and a Wall Township workshop may provide answers as well as support.
A free day of learning will provide those who take part with information about diabetes, including its causes, symptoms, and treatments. It is being hosted by the Jersey Shore University Medical Center, and it will begin in the early morning.
Participants will learn about diabetes management and how diet and nutrition can play important roles. Risk factors and ways to reduce complications will be discussed, and the value of proper foot care and an exercise program will be reviewed. Tips for navigating the medical system, including how to make the most from an endocrinologist’s appointment, will be shared, and screenings and light refreshments are both in the works.
Several guest speakers are on the list of presenters for the gathering. To add further value to the day, the organizers have invited an assortment of vendors set up a booth and show off their relevant products and services.
A health-focused event may pack a lot of information into a small amount of time. A brochure printing company can prepare materials to hand out so that the participants can keep on leaning after it closes.
Diabetes Awareness Day will welcome registrants at 8:30 am on Friday, November 8. It will take place at 19 Davis Avenue in Neptune.
