What's Happening in Wall Township, NJ…

Wall Township area run to keep coastal areas in top shape

A fundraiser that will help to keep the coastal areas of New Jersey healthy for a long time to come is fast approaching, and Wall Township residents are invited to register now for the celebration.

The American Littoral Society will once again be offering the public a chance to support its work by participating in the Lobster Run, which will follow a route that includes the Asbury Park Boardwalk. Intended to be a fun event, it will conclude with a buffet lunch for all participants.

Those who sign up for the fundraiser will be able to go at their own speed, and the organizers have asked that those who plan on going at a slow pace get started early in the day. The participants will all be invited to enjoy a selection of lobster dishes in the post walk/run buffet, and those who want the ultimate experience can opt to upgrade their registration so that they receive a half lobster. Beer, mimosas, and bloody Marys will all be available for purchase at an additional charge.

Each of the runners and walkers who registers for the 5k will receive a T-shirt that boasts a fun graphic design prepared for the occasion. The race packets will be available ahead of time or at the registration station on the day of the event.

The 2020 Lobster Run will be doing a good turn for New Jersey's coastal areas on November 7. Its website includes additional details, as well as links to sign up for the fundraiser.
