A festive extravaganza was recently held on Woolley Road, with pyrotechnics, music, and lights.
The annual Christmas Light Show, which was returning for its ninth year, reportedly drew thousands of visitors to Wall Township, no doubt to the satisfaction of local businesses.
The event, which also featured food and was visited by Santa, has grown year on year, according to the lightshow’s organizer, Dan Brateris. Donations were also collected at the free festivities for the charity Challenged Youth Sports, which aims to provide physically challenged kids in the area with recreational opportunities.
Before the event, its organizers aimed to increase exposure through a marketing campaign, including a newspaper interview and no doubt the use of banner printing companies. This seemingly worked, with many coming from other towns to see what all the excitement was about.
In fact, the local police department even had to alter its parking procedures to cater for the increased amount of traffic. Reportedly, large numbers of visitors were able to park at the North Wall Little League Field free of charge.
Before the lightshow got underway, several songs were performed by Trans-Siberian Orchestra’s Chris Pinnella, and Mr. and Mrs. Claus paid a visit to the many children in attendance.
Flame displays, dazzling lights, and music helped to keep the crowds entertained, with the festivities covering a number of days, beginning on December 14.
