Farm fun at Wall Township fundraiser

Wall Township’s Allaire Community Farm offers a variety of programming throughout the year, and it will be rolling out the welcome mat for a special fundraising event this summer.

The organizers have invited everyone to head to Sommers Farm for a fundraiser made possible thanks to support from Art Sommers, who is an avid collector and a good friend to the institution.

During the celebration, guests will be able to view Sommer’s extensive private collection for what will be the first time the public has been able to do so in 20 years. The visitors can expect to see more than 75 antique vehicles, a collection of civil war artifacts and other memorabilia, and even a 1950s-style diner with a general store and ice cream parlour. Food, drinks, and live entertainment are also on the agenda.

This activity is being hosted as part of Allaire Community Farm’s Burn the Mortgage program and a donation-matching program is in place thanks to the generosity of a local sponsor. Print shops can prepare a variety of Promotional Products to sell during an event like this to help maximize the monies raised.

Registrations for this special day down on the farm are now being accepted, and it will be this Saturday, July 24, at 4051 Herbertsville Road. Donations are also welcome, and more details about this can be found on the Farm’s website.
