An activity organized by POAC Autism Services will give autistic children, and their siblings and parents or caregivers, time to enjoy some fall fun down on the farm.
Open to both POAC members and non-members alike, a two-hour block of time has been booked at Wall Township’s Allaire Community Farm, and it will be an activity both autistics and neurotypical children can enjoy. Refreshments will be served, and while POAC members may participate free of charge, nonmember families will be asked to pay a fee of $20 each.
The kids at the celebration will be able to meet the farm animals and decorate a pumpkin to take, home and there will be special fun for the whole family to take part in together. There are only a set number of spaces, and they will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
The local business community has been asked to show its support for this event by signing up as sponsor. It was noted that this comes with a range of benefits for these companies, including having their name and Logo Design seen by a wide audience, and having signage posted on site.
POAC had made arrangements to host this family celebration on October 24. It will start at 9:00 am and wrap up at 11:00 am.
