Concert series continues through August

For Wall Township residents looking for free music and entertainment on a Thursday night, the Freehold Rocks! concert series continues through the summer, bringing hundreds of music fans to each event.

This year’s series, according to DowntownFreehold.com, has expanded to include even more popular acts than in previous years. The events are co-sponsored by 33 East Car Wash and S.T.A.R.S Productions, and take place at the Hall of Records on East Main Street.

On July 24, the Phil Engel Band takes the stage. Billing themselves as the ultimate dance/rock entertainment package, they play timeless music with an edge of rock and roll.

The main act on July 31 is EagleMania, an Eagles tribute band. According to their website, they work to faithfully reproduce the sound of The Eagles, note by note. Their shows include the Eagles’ greatest hits, and also much of the solo work of members like Don Henley, Joe Walsh, and Glenn Frey.

Moving ahead to August 7, Brian Kirk & The Jirks will perform. Originally formed in the 1990s, the band aims to maintain both an impressive roster of musicians and have fun with the audience. BK&J comprises David Pershan and Kristin Grassi as singers, and a three-piece horn section. With their diverse repertoire, the band plays rock, funk, pop, swing, jazz, hip hop, and oldies.

When reaching out to music fans, close work with poster printing companies is usually foremost in the minds of organizers.
