Coffee and conversation with a cop in Wall Township
Wall Township’s police officers work every day to help keep the community safe, and area residents will soon have a chance to get to know the members of their local police force a little bit better.
All members of the public are welcome to come to ‘Coffee with a Cop’, which will offer a neutral space where people can ask questions and raise any concerns they might have with regard to local law enforcement. The organized pointed out that this will be an opportunity for people to meet with an officer in a non-emergency situation that encourages conversation.
During the session, those who attend will learn about different initiatives the police have put into place or are planning for the future. It will offer a relaxed atmosphere that will be conducive to one-on-one conversation, and there will be plenty of hot, freshly brewed coffee as well.
The Coffee with a Cop program is part of a national initiative that has the support of The United States Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. A brochure printing service can be counted on to supply booklets and other informative materials that can be distributed during this type of event.
The Starbucks at 1913 State Highway 35 in Wall Township has been chosen as the venue for this activity. It has been scheduled for October 3, and more information can be obtained by contacting (732) 449-4500 ext. 1130.
