Boaters given chance to get state safety certificate
Next week, a boat safety course will take place over a two-day period, with approximately one hour’s worth of work for participants to take home with them.
Upon successful completion of the New Jersey Boating Safety Classes, guests will receive their New Jersey Safety Certification. The course may have been advertised using poster printing to attract local boating enthusiasts, including those from neighboring locations like Wall Township.
The classes meet the State of New Jersey’s Division of State Police Marine Law Enforcements mandate for boat safety and education, and form a course recognized by the United States Coast Guard and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA). The two days will cover all aspects of boating safety and everyone who operates a boat must have this certification prior to taking their boat on the water, as has been mandatory since June, 2009. Guests must be over the age of 13 to attend these classes and the cost covers all materials.
The cost to attend this course is $75 per person, and it will be offered on Monday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 30, from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm on each day, at the Brandywine Facility located at 1587 Old Freehold Road in Toms River, New Jersey. To learn more, or to register, call Janet at 201-291-5976.
