The Metropolitan Opera is about to unveil its seventh season in selected movie theaters, with an expected run time of 5 hours and 45 minutes.
This unveiling is part of the Metropolitan Opera’s Emmy and Peabody award winning series ‘The Met’, which appears live in high definition movie theaters across the nation, including the Showplace Theatre in Secaucus, and will feature a live broadcast of ‘Wagner’s Parsifil’. Poster printing and flyer printing by local art groups and theater associations may have been used to promote this new high definition presentation to the public.
In Parsifal Live, Jonas Kaufmann shines in the title role as an innocent who discovers wisdom through Francois Girard’s recent vision of Wagner’s last masterpiece. Others involved include Rene Pape, who appears as the noble and dignified Knight Gurnemanz, Evgeny Nikitin as the evil Kllingsor, Katarina Dalayman as the surprisingly mysterious Kundry, and Peter Mattei as the sick and frail Amfortas. This presentation is being conducted by the renowned Daniele Gatti.
The Metropolitan Opera: Parsifal LIVE will be shown across the nation this Saturday, March 2nd. In the case of the Showplace Theatre, the showing with start at 12:00 pm.
