The Outback Steakhouse in Secaucus is hosting a children’s cooking class this July.
Hosted by Chef Ryan and made possible as part of a Secaucus Public Library program, the classes are held on two separate days and are appropriate for children aged 7 to 12, with the presence of a parent or caregiver.
The history of food and a variety of diverse dishes will be discussed. Tasting opportunities will also be part of the classes, which require online registration on the Secaucus Library’s website.
The Secaucus Outback Steakhouse is located near the intersection of Harmon Meadow Blvd and Plaza Drive, connected to a Courtyard by Marriott hotel.
The steakhouse takes its inspiration from Australia, but originated in the U.S. in Tampa, Florida in 1988. The Bloomin’ Brands of restaurants include not only Outback Steakhouse, but also Bonefish Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, and Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
Offering a variety of pasta, seafood, and meat dishes, including chicken and ribs, Outback Steakhouse offers a casual dining experience with steaks and the fried appetizer the Bloomin’ Onion at its center.

The Kids in the Kitchen cooking events are happening on July 9 and July 23 at 11:30 am each day at the Outback Steakhouse at 455 Harmon Meadows Blvd in Secaucus.
