Secaucus set for back-to-school shopping party

A pop-up market is on the way for the Secaucus area, and there may still be room for more vendors to come on board.

The crew at Yessy and Family’s Pop Up Events have an activity in the works for Rutherford's branch of the American Legion, and it will be held just in time for families with kids going back to school. The vendor tables will be set up both indoors and out, and the activity will be open to shoppers for four hours so they will have lots of time to browse.

Companies that have already reserved their space range from crafters and makers to those who prepare gourmet foods. Costumed characters will be on hand to meet the kids in the crowd and pose for photo ops, and it is expected that the celebration will attract a large crowd.

The organizers of the afternoon explained that there will be a giveaway of school supplies so that local kids will have what they need when they return to classes. Promotional Pens and other items for an event will be available at area professional Print shops.

This celebration of autumn’s arrival will be taking place on September 4, and it will be open from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. The location for the activity will be 424 Carmite Avenue in Rutherford.
