Secaucus kids invited to evening of trunk or treating

This Halloween, ghost and goblins will be heading to the Secaucus Recreation center to engage in a little bit of spooky fun, and the whole community is invited to come out and help make the event a huge success.

The community’s mayor and council announced that the annual Trunk or Treat celebration will be back for its sixth year, and it will provide a safe alternative to going door to door. Kids can still dress up to shell out, but instead of knocking on doors, they will be stopping by their car or other vehicle.

The public is encouraged to get involved in the festivities by coming up with creative décor ideas for their trunk, which they can fill with treats for the kids who stop by. The event is only open to Secaucus residents, and if the weather is inclement on Halloween, the activity will be moved indoors so everyone can still enjoy themselves without having to worry about getting cold and wet.

Anyone who is interested in taking part in this event is asked to register ahead of time by contacting 201-330-3299. A banner printing company can craft decorations and other items to welcome the community to a function like this.

Secaucus’s trunk or treat evening has been planned for Wednesday, October 31. Its website is the place to go for further details.
