Secaucus area mall offers a year round taste of winter

A new attraction has been planned, which will bring a taste of winter to the Secaucus area, 365 days a year.

American Dream Meadowlands will soon be the new home of an indoor ski and snowboard park. The plans call for the hill to be 12 stories high, with a run of 800 feet, and it will be the first facility of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Along with the hill, there will be a variety of retail stores that sell snowboard and ski related equipment.

According to Joe Hession, who is SNOW Operatings' CEO, he is excited about the build and certain that it will become a destination of choice for those in the local area and much further afield as well.

This attraction, which celebrates winter, will be one part of a facility that will also include an indoor water park, a 4-D movie theater, an amusement park, an aquarium and a full size skating rink suitable for hockey or other types of ice sports. Banners and other signage for use in facilities like this can be custom designed by a printing company.

Slated to open in 2017, the mall will have at least 40 stores and other retail establishments. It is hoped that it will add at least 20,000 jobs to the state’s economy, and the direct shuttle from the Secaucus train station will make it easy for tourists and shoppers to reach the mall.
