Gardening is a hobby that offers opportunities to learn something new, and a Secaucus conference will give home horticulturists new additions to their own knowledge toolbox.
For one day in May, City Green Farm Eco-Center in Clifton will be giving the public a way to learn, meet other gardeners, and have subject matter experts answer their horticultural questions. Parents are welcome to bring the whole family along, and there will be special fun just for the younger attendees.
The function, which will take place outdoors, will offer workshops on topics ranging from mushroom growing at home, to beekeeping, plant ID, container growing, soil health, and choosing native plants. Both breakfast and lunch will be supplied, and there will be three information sessions scheduled for the morning and one in the afternoon. Along with the learning, the occasion will supply plenty of time for the participants to meet and get to know one another.
