Santa to stop by Secaucus celebration

Secaucus’s mayor and the town council have cordially invited one and all to attend a local event that will bring neighbors together to celebrate the season.

The annual Christmas in Secaucus will be a day filled with family friendly fun. There are options for everyone, and a special guest has sent in his RSVP straight from the North Pole.

The Secaucus Recreation Center will be welcoming Santa, and he will be on hand to pose for pictures in the morning and again in the afternoon. A Holiday Bazaar and Tricky Tray draw will add an extra dash of excitement, and to encourage everyone to make the season brighter for children in need, a collection of new toys will take place for the Secaucus Toy Drive. To thank those who do so, each door will receive three extra tickets of the Tricky Tray.

As the day transitions into evening, the crowd can head outdoors for the annual tree lighting and holiday parade. These will be held in the Plaza Center. Activities that take place outdoors may require weather resistant decor, and this can be crafted by area poster printing companies.

December 7 will see Secaucus kick off its holiday celebrations at its Recreation Center at 10:00 am. Santa will be on hand for photos beginning at 12:00 am and again at 2:30 pm. More information can be found on the city’s official website.
