Part of the sponsorship of the event was provided by New Jersey City University. Business card printing from Secaucus could be used by the winners of the competition. The whole event lasted six weeks and ended with entrants from Jersey City gaining all the prizes after pitching to a judging panel of experts.
Omar Ruffin, who won the top prize for his pitch, has said:
“I’m on cloud nine right now; I still can’t believe I won! The Challenge pushed me to be better and really step my game up with promoting and explaining my business. To prepare for the final pitch, I just kept practicing. I know my product well. I’ve been working on it for a very long time.”
Ruffin has a business called the BiArté Biker Gear Corporation, which has a product named the Biker-Soc. This piece of equipment is intended to cover the footwear of a motorcyclist. Ruffin has the intention of extending his inventory, and also aspires to boost his marketing spend.
Angela Huggins came second in the competition with a core idea of teaching children to sew. Myani Lawson was next and she has a vision of expanding her educational facility.
