At the annual dinner of BDF last month, logistics specialist Peter Sorrentino has said that the award was given because of the phenomenal performance of CHD during the course of 2014. Sorrentino has suggested that the presentation of the prize was mutually beneficial to the parties involved.

CHD was created back in 1934. Joseph Cory set it up and it is now one of the largest specialized firms in its sector within the United States. It is located in Secaucus, New Jersey, but it helps retailers throughout the U.S., as well as in such areas as the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.
CHD has been under the management of the Cory family for three generations. The family also has ownership of the enterprise in question.
