Quest Diagnostics recently announced that it plans on moving its headquarters to the city of Secaucus.
The company, which provides its clients with services such as diagnostic information, currently has its head offices in Madison. It will make the move to Secaucus after the lease on its present location runs out in September of 2017.
To provide an incentive for the enterprise to stay in the state, the Economic Development Authority of New Jersey gave its approval to provide it with a ten-year tax break. This will keep as many as 600 jobs in the state.
The president and CEO of Quest Diagnostics, Steve Rusckowski explained that the decision to relocate to Secaucus is in the best interests of both its employees and shareholders. He went on to say that the move will put it within easy reach of both public transportation and also make it closer to its partners in the healthcare community. A printer can provide updated business Forms, Letterheads, Business Cards and other printed materials that a corporation might need when it relocates to a new place.
For her part, the states Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno noted that this situation provides an excellent example of how New Jersey provides an economic environment that is conducive to business growth that is both profitable for companies and creates employment for skilled professionals.
