Fundraiser to see return of popular helicopter highlight

For some veterans, the hardest battle is the one they face once they have hung up their combats, and a Secaucus area initiative that offers them a hand up has planned a day to help.

The Backpacks for Life initiative provides homeless vets with Backpacks they can use to store their belongings, and it is filled with toiletries, self-care items, and materials prepared by a brochure printing company offering them information about the supports available to them. It also supplies advocacy, coaching, and mentorships, and to fund its efforts, it has a day of golf in the works for North Jersey Country Club.

Those who register for the day will be treated to golf as well as an assortment of other fun. There will be special activities at many of the holes, and Black 6 Coffee will be served along with other refreshments. A variety of veteran-owned businesses will have displays set up on site. The function will draw to a close with a mixer, dinner and silent auction, and the popular Helicopter Ball Drop will be back.

Supporters of a cause often appreciate seeing how they are making a difference. A poster printing company can prepare large visual materials that provide examples of how their generosity is helping others.

This golf outing in support of area veterans is scheduled for Monday, September 19. It will begin at 9:00 am.
