Military veterans in the Manalapan area will want to clear their diary next month, as a free fishing event is being planned to celebrate their military service.
The 8th Annual Veterans, Disabled Children, and Active-Duty Military Fishing Day will start in a few weeks. It will provide a setting for these individuals to enjoy outdoor fun. The event, sponsored by The Vietnam Veterans of America, Laurita Winery, and Jersey Coast Anglers, will ensure each registered guest enjoys fun on the lakeshore angling for fish.
The event will offer a fun day of fishing, along with food, beverages, games, and door prizes. During the free fishing day, attendees will meet farm animals and take a hay ride. All rigs and bait are also included at the event to provide the necessary tools to catch fish. Flyer printing can help organizations spread the word about such events around the community.
The food options will include hot dogs, hamburgers, and pizza. Cold beverages will also be available to attendees for a comfortable and refreshing day of fishing. Family members are also welcome to attend and fish for free.
Lake Julianna will host the free day of fishing on Saturday, August 24th, beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 2:00 PM. Interested parties can contact Don Marantz or Kevin Nolan for more information. Registration is available online.
