The Manalapan Township Committee and Manalapan Arts Council (MAC) invite residents of Manalapan and the surrounding region to its annual kick-off event to welcome the arrival of summer. The event organizers are expecting more than 10,000 visitors this year.
Proceeds from sponsorships and vendor fees will go to support Manalapan Arts programming, which is solely funded by sponsorships and donations. The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Tommy G from WCTC AM radio. Joe Piscopo will perform songs, impressions and comedy. A fireworks display will follow his performance.
All photos entered in the Manalapan Township 2014 Photo Contest will be on display during the event, and winners will be chosen for various categories. The theme of the photo contest is ‘Down the Shore’, and entries depict creative photos of the Jersey shore from Cape May to Sandy Hook. Visitors to the event will be able to vote for the photo entry for the special ‘People’s Choice’ award.
Food, games, rides, local performers, and vendor exhibits will all be on hand, along with information booths offering plenty of giveaways by local merchants. Sponsors need to get their applications in right away to ensure the addition of their logos to the official list before any flier printing is done.
The festivities will be held at the Manalapan Recreation Center, June 14th, from 3pm to 10pm. Admission is free.
