This Halloween, grownups in Manalapan get a Masquerade Party, and kids get a costume contest and parade
The Manalapan Arts Council will be holding its ‘Spooktacular’ Halloween Masquerade Party at the end of the month. This will be an adult family and friends event.
Although optional, guests are invited to wear their scary best, with best costumes receiving prizes.
Tickets will include a buffet dinner. The evening will have traditional Halloween songs and dancing, with music presented by a live DJ.
In the past other groups in the community have been joining in the preparations. The Teen Leadership Council carved pumpkins, Freehold’s Wemrock Farms has donated decorations, and last year a prize donation was been made by Pure Barre.
In neighboring Freehold, kids can enjoy their own Halloween fun. The town will be having its annual ‘Spooktacular’ thoughout October. Its downtown will be decorated for Halloween. Jack-o-Lantern and costume contests, and a parade will be the highlights of the festivities.
The Masquerade Party is scheduled for October 29 from 7:30 pm until 11:30 pm at Knob Hill Golf Club, 1 Shinnecock Drive, here in Manalapan. Flyers indicate that as of this year, credit card payments are being accepted.
The Freehold Jack-O-Lantern carving contest will be downtown on October 22 at 6:00 pm. The costume contest will be at noon on October 30, with the Halloween parade following at 1:00 pm.
