Santa and school choruses headline Manalapan festivities

Manalapan families will have many options for Christmas season fun in the upcoming weeks.

Christmas Wonderlands will be aglow with over a dozen nostalgic animated Christmas displays found in large department stores back in the 1960’s and ‘70s. Scenes will include Mickey Mouse and friends, Christmas critters, and elves working in Santa’s workshop.

At the end of the Christmas journey, Santa will be waiting to pose for pictures. Since this event starts early in December, parents will still have time to take the photos to local Stationery printers to be made into this year’s Holiday Cards and next year’s family Calendars.

Manalapan will also have a Holiday Concert and Christmas Tree Lighting in mid-December. The evening will begin with the Miss Melissa’s Aardvarks Program, which will be followed by the Manalapan High School Chorus and the Manalapan Youth Orchestra. The evening will close with the Christmas Tree Lighting and a Santa visit. Following the event, light refreshments will be available.

Nearby Freehold will have a breakfast buffet with Santa. Santa will visit each table and be available for photos afterward.

Christmas Wonderlands will be at Maple Leaf Farms 525 Route 9 South with the Christmas Walkthrough Opening Day tomorrow, November 23 from noon until 6:00 pm.

The Holiday Concert and Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, December 16 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 om in Town Square.

Breakfast with Santa will be December 9 starting at 10:00 am at iPlay America, 110 Schanck Road, Freehold.
