The annual Monmouth County Fair is coming toward the end of July.
Along with 4-H shows and exhibits, Manalapan fair goers will see fireworks on opening night, and experience Campy’s Blue Star Amusements carnival rides, and games with prizes.
Entertainment will include high diving, wildlife, racing pigs, and birds of prey shows. Aaron Bonks Fire, Whips and Danger Tricks, Mutts Gone Nuts, and Hilby the Skinny German Juggle Boy will be among the acts.
The Main Stage will start on the Wednesday night with the Amish Outlaws. Thursday night has The Nerds, Friday night has Jessie’s Girl and a Back to the Eighties Show, Saturday night presents Coast 2 Coast Philly, and Sensational Soul Cruisers wrap up the program on Sunday. On Saturday afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, the All For Won Game Show will occupy the stage.
On Sunday from 4:15 to 5:00 pm, music will be provided by the Rockit Academy. A pie eating competition will be held with children starting at 12:30 pm and adults at 12:45 pm.
The Home & Garden Show Competition will include flowers, vegetables, photography, art, needlework, and crafts. Photos of winners often go to Print shops for duplicates to be sent to family and friends.
Adult general admission will be $8, while children under 13, veterans, and active military can enter for free. Students and senior citizens over 65 are entitled to free admission on Sunday.
Monmouth County Fair will take place at the East Freehold Showgrounds, Kozloski Road, Freehold on July 26 through 30.
