The local library will be offering a presentation soon, called ‘Sinatra and the American Songbook’, and also a tribute concert. People of all ages are invited to attend.
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the man known by many names, including ‘The Chairman of the Board’, ‘Ole Blue Eyes’, and of course, simply Frank Sinatra.
To commemorate the anniversary, local fan John Ench will be giving a presentation that will include an historical perspective on the singer and his impact on society. He will also talk about songwriters that wrote for Sinatra and others that covered his work.
Ench’s presentation will also include audio and video samples to go with his comments. Those that attend may want to bring memorabilia or other Promotional Products from concerts or other events where Sinatra appeared.
To cap off the presentation, the library will also play host to crooner Chris Pinnella just a few weeks later. He sings in a way reminiscent of the big band era and will be offering renditions of several Sinatra songs. Pinnella has performed in venues across the country.
The presentation and the singing performance will take place at Monmouth County Library, Main Branch, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan. The presentation will be given Monday, November 16, from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm, and the concert will be given on Sunday, December 6, at 2:00 pm. Both will be free.Get a Free Quote for Promotional Products
