Manalapan looks for picture perfection

Mayor Jack McNaboe and the Manalapan Arts Council are holding Manalapan Township’s 10th Annual photo contest.

All Manalapan residents are invited to submit pictures. This year’s theme will be ‘These Are Among My Most Favorite Things’.

Photo content may be about anything – people, events, objects, scenes, pets or food. As Co-Chair Linda Steele told reporters, “the sky is the limit.” A short (25 words or fewer) description must accompany each submission.

Judging will be done on photographic quality and specific attention will be given to detail. Winners will be chosen from two age categories: the junior category will be for children 17 years of age and younger, and the senior category will be for those 18 years and older. A $100 first place prize and a $50 honorable mention will be given in each division.

On June 9th, Manalapan Day, all photos will be on display and viewers will vote for the People’s Choice award. The winner will receive $100.

Many contestants will be sending their entries by email (photocontest@mtnj.org) while others will take their original photos to local printing services and submit photographic prints to the Manalapan Township Health Department.

All submissions, descriptions and Forms must be at the Health Department office by May 18, no later than 4:30 pm.
