Manalapan ghosts and goblins at the ready

Poster printing is no doubt underway to tell all of Manalapan to get ready for Monster Mania.

Manalapan Parks and Recreation is putting on this annual Halloween event a few days before Halloween for the 29th year.

Everyone is invited to dress in their Halloween best, and the more glow, the better. The line-up for this year will include a parade followed by a costume contest. Games and crafts will keep everyone, especially the little ones, entertained, and no one will want to miss the Halloween Magic show. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

A Photo Boo-th will be available to capture all the Halloween finery. Many families will likely be having their pictures taken in all their Halloween glory (or gory) for later poster printing and for family Calendars.

The Haunted Glow trail will bring plenty of thrills and chills. Local businesses, organizations and vendors have donated time, money and candy to make this part of the event a success.

Manalapan Monster Mania will begin at 6:00 pm this Sunday, October 29 on the original basketball courts section of the Manalapan Recreation Center, across the road from the Township Municipal Building on Route 522. Things should wind down around 10:00 pm. As always, the event will be free and will go ahead rain or shine.
