Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm is getting its trees, Christmas Shop, and Village ready for the upcoming season, which will start in mid-November.
In operation for 80 years, its 50 acres with over 50,000 Christmas trees will have trees ready for pre-cutting or choose-and-cut options.
Guests who arrive early to get their trees can take advantage of the photo opportunities scattered around the farm. Family pictures taken early in the season often go to nearby Stationery printers to be made into Christmas cards.
The Christmas Shop is amassing thousands of holiday items from nutcrackers, stockings, tree skirts, and ornaments to artificial wreaths, tree toppers, candles, and holiday lights.
The Holiday Village will be an immersive, interactive journey that begins with a hayride bringing the guests to a path through a winter wonderland of interactive displays and more than 100,000 Christmas lights.
Some of the attractions in the village will be a train room, 14-foot-tall gingerbread house in which elves will be making gingerbread cookies, a Cherry Blossom field of lit trees, a post office, and a hot chocolate stand. There will also be hayrides, a wishing well, and Santa’s house.
Anne Ellen Christmas Tree Farm is located at 114 Daum Road. The tree farm will be open November 12 through January 1 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Village will open during the same dates from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, but only Wednesdays through Sundays.
