Manalapan celebrates apples and fall

Happy Day Farm will be celebrating fall with its New Jersey’s Apple Festival coming for couple of weekends in September.

The venue will have live music, a caricature artist and a balloon maker, and kids can get temporary tattoos. Along with a large variety of apples, there will be apple treats for sale in the Snack Shack. These will include fresh apple donuts, slushies, cider, and candied apples. Guests can take home freshly baked apple pies too, along with the fresh apples and pure raw honey.

Over 30 activities and attractions will be available. Families can enjoy a Timmy Town Zoo, hayrides, Pedal Cars, and a craft corner where kids can color and design their own buttons.

Everyone will get an opportunity to have photos taken with the farm’s Apple Princess. Many families will no doubt be taking these pictures of their little ones with the princess for family Calendars, personalized Stationery, and later poster printing.

Another farm greeter will be the farm’s mascot – a large red apple-type character with yellow arms and legs who will be there on opening day only.

Admission will be $14 and kids under the age of two will get in free.

The Apple Festival will be the weekends of September 16 and 17, and September 23 and 24 at Happy Day Farm, 77 Iron Ore Road in Manalapan Township. Hours will be from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm.
