Manalapan PBA chapter #229 and Raceway Park will be hosting the ‘Ride to Remember Charity Ride’ in honor of Vietnam veterans over Memorial Day Weekend. The ride will meander through rural Manalapan, Milestone, and Marlboro.
Riders will begin their journey at the raceway and pedal to the Vietnam Memorial in Holmdel, New Jersey. There a short ceremony by the Manalapan Police Honor Guard and the Monmouth and Middlesex County Pipes and Drums Corp will take place.
Upon completion of the ceremony, riders will go back to their bikes for a journey back to the raceway. Drinks and food will be provided at Raceway Park, along with live music courtesy of Rockin’ Country Thunder 106.3 FM. Complimentary pictures will be offered to those riders who want to remember the event, so they could use printing services for Copies made in the future. Some of the benefits will go to Holmdel’s Vietnam War Memorial Foundation.
Registration will run from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on race day, and the first 250 entrants will receive free T-Shirts. Fees are set at $20 per biker, $10 per passenger, and visitors who come to the raceway after the race has finished will pay $5.
