Golf and dining for a charitable cause

The Denise Marie Flaherty Memorial Foundation will be presenting its DMF New Jersey 18th Annual Golf Outing and Dinner Gala 2021 in early August. The event is dedicated to all who are or were battling cancer.

From 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, the event will open with registration, putting contest, warm up, and lunch. The shotgun start will begin at 12:30 pm and auction, dinner, speaker, and awards will be from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Individual registration for golf, dinner and auction will be $225; auction and dinner only will be $60; and tables for eight will be $580. Golf registration includes a one-hour open bar and lunch, golf cart, green fees, and access to the clubhouse. Complimentary drinks will be available from the beverage cart.

For an extra $10, Manalapan golfers can take part in the 50/50 putting contest. Every golfer will be included in the Longest Drive, Hole-in-one, Straightest Drive and Closest-to-the-Pin contests.

Registration will also include a two-hour open bar, gift auction, and dinner. Some sponsors will have their names and Logo Design on event signage.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and to local families dealing with cancer.

The gala will take place at Battleground Country Club, 1 Covenhoven Road, on August 5, starting at 11:00 am.
