Food truck festival organized for charity

United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties is partnering with Downtown Freehold.com to present United for Impact Food Truck Festival in late October.

The Manalapan area event will feature live music by Joe Baracata Band and The Break Plans. More than 10 food trucks will be selling everything from Maine lobster, gourmet burgers, pizzas, melts, soups, and wieners to ices, frozen desserts, and cupcakes.

Local vendors will be vending more food items, including sellers like Chocolate Moonshine, Au Honey, Jersey Pickles, and Cream Ridge Winery, and crafters such as ShoreCuterie, Crafts by Grace, Miss Paul Jewelry Designs, Unique Creations by Triple C, LLC, and Touchstone Crystal. Other groups will include Cohen’s Fashion Optical, Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore, Henna Squad, Margo’s Low-Impact Health Club, New York Life, and Trashion Co.

Vendors at charity events like this often donate a portion of their sales to the cause or donate Promotional Products to raffles or auctions. Attendees can buy 50/50 cash raffle tickets for $1 each, $5 for six, or $10 for fifteen.

Although the event will be free, a $5 donation is suggested because proceeds from the event will go to the United Way of Monmouth to further its mission to bridge the gap to financial stability, health, and education by connecting people to local resources.

United for Impact Food Truck Festival will take place on West Main Street in Downtown Freehold on Sunday, October 22 from noon to 6:00 pm.
