Fall Concert Series announced

As the 2023 Thursday ROCK! Summer Concert Series winds down, the annual Downtown Freehold Fall Concert Series will take place in September and October.

Everyone in the greater Freehold area, including Manalapan, are invited to spend Wednesday evenings at the Hall of Records in Freehold enjoying the seven bands that are scheduled.

The Eddie Testa Band will kick off the series on September 6 with rhythm and blues and Jersey Shore rock. Winslow, a well-known Eagles Tribute Band, will take to the stage on September 13. The 13-piece Motor City Revue, playing popular and rare Motown hits along with rock and soul classics, will perform on September 20. A party band, The Smokin’ Jackets, will be the last band performing in the month on September 27.

There will be two bands in October. Paying homage to the Beatles, the cover band The Weeklings will play their own arrangements of the Fabulous Four’s iconic melodies on October 4, and The Nerds playing Engelbert Humperdinck, pop, new wave, punk, classic rock, dance, funk, blues, and R&B will end the season on October 11.

Fans of cover bands often buy merchandise featuring the original group’s graphic design.

The last three Thursday summer concerts will be Rob Gerrity Band on August 12, the Van Halen Tribute Band on August 17, and the Turnstyles on August 24.

All concerts will be from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at 1 East Main Street.
