Whether looking to get a sense of history or hoping to learn more about the Amazon Kindle, Manalapan residents have a couple of interesting options at their disposal in the coming days.
Things take off this coming Monday, July 16, with the Monmouth County Library hosting an upcoming Adult Craft Class, expected to center primarily around the process of doing “chain maille.” While many people have a tendency to think of knights and medieval living when they hear this term, most would be surprised to know that this skill is one that has at least one practical application in the modern day world, as it is used in fashion. With techniques making it possible to put bracelets together in at least a couple of different ways, this workshop is going to be giving attendees a solid foundation on which to build. Beginning in the evening at 6:30 pm, this already looks to be an interesting event.
While the ‘eBook Basics’ course being held on July 18 is not necessarily being geared towards professionals, it is a workshop well worth considering. Also being hosted at the Monmouth County Library, it looks like this event will be taking place very early in the morning with a scheduled start time of 10:00 am. Focusing primarily on the ways in which people can use their kindles to take advantage of the library’s online resources, a working knowledge of Amazon’s eBook reader is always beneficial.
Although brochure printers are likely to have helped promote both events, it should be pointed out there are plenty of workshops to choose from according to the online calendar.
