The Manalapan Arts Council was expecting over 10,000 people to attend Manalapan Day 2015.
This year’s main attraction was David Cassidy in concert. Some people may remember this actor, guitarist, and songwriter from his portrayal of Keith Partridge on the TV show The Partridge Family.
During the day, the younger set could enjoy the petting zoo and ponies, while everyone could visit the exhibits and try the rides and games.
The event organizers promised a continuous stream of entertainment featuring a host of local talent. The evening was scheduled to end with a display of fireworks.
This event had three types of vendors – food, information and merchants. Local businesses such as printing companies got two types of opportunities to distribute information about their products, and get advertising out to this large crowd; the first was reserving a space at the event, while the other was by becoming a sponsor.
Along with exhibit space, sponsors could do their own banner printing and providing Banners to the event. These could have been displayed at various places around the event. This event was funded by sponsorships and donations. Proceeds went towards supporting the MAC’s many art programs.
The event was held on Saturday, June 20, 2015, from 3pm to 10pm at the Manalapan Recreation Center, 120 County Road 522, Manalapan Township.
