Area golfers sip and golf for charity

The Sarala Bathena Foundation is presenting its annual Super Sampling toward the end of October.

The 2021 event will consist of golf during the day and over 500 samplings of beers, wines, and spirits, along with gourmet food and live music in the evening.

General admission is $125 and VIP admission (special room and samplings) is $200. Golf foursomes (for golf only) are $1,200.

Manalapan businesses can still purchase sponsorships at $250 and $500. These sponsorships are available for pouring tables that will pour samples from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Sponsorships for beverage stations on the course are $250 and golf tee sponsorships are $300. The $2,000 Golfer Gift sponsorship will include business Logo Design exhibited at the registration tables and Promotional Products given to golfers.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Sarala Bathena Foundation. The Bathena Foundation donates money to diverse organizations such as the Ashley Lauren Foundation (which supports families battling pediatric cancer), York Street Project (housing, childcare and education for women), Monmouth Museum, the Shanti Bhavanh Children’s Project 9 (provides food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care) and Family & Friends of Ella Mae.

The Super Sampling and golf will take place October 28. Golfing will begin at 11:30 am, and the sampling will be from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Forsgate Country Club, 375 Forsgate Drive, Monroe.
