5K run helps Manalapan support good cause

Manalapan residents looking for a way to spend time outdoors and get active will want to save the date, as a 5K run and walk is coming to town.

The Akshaya Patra Tri-State 5K Walk-a-thon has opened registration in preparation for the event next month, with the goal of bringing the Manalapan community together to support a good cause. Attendees will enjoy meeting like-minded individuals while spending time in the natural surroundings of the community. The family-friendly event is open to interested parties of all ages.

The walk-a-thon, which will also welcome joggers, will use the Manalapan Fitness Trail as the course for the event. Participants can use the 5K to reach their fitness goals, gather their family to make memories, or participate in support of the cause, with proceeds providing meals to hungry children in need. Flyer printing is an ideal way to promote such events through grassroots efforts, increasing attendance and raising more money.

The event will be held outdoors, and interested parties are encouraged to check the weather and dress in comfortable clothing. Closed-toed shoes are also recommended for comfort, and participants are welcome to bring water and snacks.

Participants will meet at the Manalapan Recreation Center Fitness Trail at 9:00 AM on Sunday, June 8th, in support of the cause. Registration is open online, and tickets cost $20 per person.
