Special events coming soon to Hohokus venue
Those who enjoy craft beers and wine may be interested in two upcoming events this month at the Hohokus Inn and Tavern.
The Cellar Club, the monthly wine education series of the Inn, will be on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30pm with wine from Alba Vineyards, a local New Jersey winery. The winery is located in Milford and known for its handmade wines and dry-farmed, sustainable vineyards.
In 2013, the facility was named Winery of the Year in the New Jersey Wine Competition. Drinks featured during the evening will include its Chardonnay, Dry Riesling, Heritage Cabernet Franc, and a dessert wine called Red Raspberry. The cost of $25.00 per person includes hors d’oeuvres, and tax and gratuity are additional.
Additionally, the monthly Craft Beer Tasting will be on Wednesday, August 27th at 6:30pm, and will feature wheat beers imported from Belgium and Germany. These beers contain a great deal of wheat malt, and are distinctive in their versatility when paired with food. Sampled beers will include the Belgium Shine White Wing and Boraks Double Wheat Beer, and the German Benediktiner Weissbier and iconic Schöfferhofer. For a cost of $20.00, bar bites are also included.
The Inn could work with poster printing services to create colorful and exciting posters to invite and attract people to these special tastings.
