What's Happening in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ…

Learning opportunity planned for Hohokus gardeners

Winter will not be enough to keep intrepid Hohokus gardeners from planning for the warmer months. A local horticultural group wants to help plant lovers to brush up on their knowledge.

Women Gardeners of Ridgewood has invited anyone with gardening questions to attend its Garden Gate Resource Library afternoon. They will be able to browse through all kinds of resource materials and plan for the future, all while meeting others who also enjoy the hobby.

The Resource Room at the Gate House in Habernickel Park will be welcoming gardeners, and they will find such horticultural resources as magazines, books, and other publications. The Women Gardeners of Ridgewood will have representatives on hand to answer questions from those in attendance.

Along with offering green thumbs a chance to learn, this sort of function can give an organization a way to introduce itself to prospective members. A print shop can create corporate gifts such as gardener's journals and promotional pens, which can be sold by a group to help fund this sort of activity.

The resource room , which can be found on the second floor of the Gate House, will be open to the public for this event on January 14. More details about the event and its organizer can be found on the Women Gardeners of Ridgewood website.
